Bret Michaels’ fans are happy that the Poison frontman is recovering but still anxious for word on how long that recovery is going to take. But all official reports are being made via his offical website and the amount of traffic to the site has been causes problems. The glam rock star’s manager will be releasing more information next week.
Michael Christopher (Entertainment, Delco Times) reports today that “What’s been made official so far is that the frontman, who also suffers from juvenile diabetes, remains in ICU under 24-hour care. He is also experiencing hyponatremina, which is described as abnormally low levels of salt in the blood that can lead to seizures and brain swelling.”
Bret Michaels’ father, Wally Sychak told TV’s “Extra” that was talking although he “sounded a little slow, but fine … I guess he is under sedation … he understood what he was saying and knew me.”
Michael was scheduled to appear at The Wichita River Festival which will will open on May 7. Festival President Janet Wright announced on Wednesday that Cheap Trick will be filling in for Bret.
It’s going to be a long road to recovery and that is to be expected. Along with all his fans, we send all best wishes to him, his family and close friends.
