Wild crowds stampeded into a Long Island Wal-Mart this morning and trampled a temporary worker. He died.
That didn’t seem to bother the hell-bent on bargains shoppers who complained when they were told to leave the store.
Maybe now these department stores will stop this Black Friday madness. Is it really necessary to have these early bird “one time” only specials? Stores like Wal-mart can just make these prices available until supplies run out in-store and online, just like they do the rest of the year, without enticing people to come out and wait for hours for their stupid stores to open.
We hope people will remember this worker’s untimely and unnecessary death when they hear the word “doorbuster” from now on.
The New York State Labor Department and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office are being called upon to investigate the matter. Expect a wrongful death lawsuit, Walmart, that hopefully will cost you more than your Black Friday profit.
Is there anything in the world worth saving a few bucks on that it’s necessary to stampede into a store like and kill someone?
