Ben and Adrian: It’s a Girl!

On the continuation of Season Three of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” Ben and Adrian found out their baby was a girl. Adrian wanted to let Ben make the announcement to her anxious parents and they walked in together, and you know what a geek Ben is. He even hesitated a little when Adrian motioned for him to just do it. By this time, Adrian’s parents, Ruben and Cindy, are like “TELL US!!!!” Ben and Adrian obviously planned for the moment because he blurts out the answer in Spanish: “es una niña.”

Ben then went home and told his dad, Leo, and his stepmother, Betty, who was just thrilled: “I always wanted a girl,” she gushed! Just a bit later she asked about if that $50,000 ring she gave Ben (that he gave Adrian) was still okay. Must still want it back.

THE SAUSAGE KING AND THE FRIENDSHIP RING

We know that was later in the show, but whaddya want? It was the best part of the “Who Do You Trust” episode. The rest of it was rather boring, with Amy deciding she wants to have sex with Ricky but not before he gets tested for any STDs. So Ricky runs around asking all the girls he’s slept with, who are all incredibly better looking than Amy, if they might possibly have given him the clap or anything else.

Ricky frets and carries on, showing what a moron he really is, never giving a thought to any unpleasant consequences from his promiscuity. Jack, on the other hand, not only got a test, he got treated for whatever he had and now he’s free and clear and good to go, much to Grace’s disgust.

Ashley wants to be home-schooled, although it is not clear who is going to be teaching her at this point. When we last left Secret Life, Ashley was hot to trot and trying to throw herself at Ricky, so let’s hope she gets a female teacher.

The episode ended with the return of Ricky’s jailbird mom who told him not to worry, that she would get a place of her own soon. But the way she eyed up the place when she waltzed in really said “Home Sweet Home.”
