Anna Gray To View Coleman’s Remains

Monday, the courts reopened, the Gary Coleman case proceeded and the sensational, misleading headlines continued. Somehow Anna Gray has now become Gary Coleman’s “former girlfriend,” when she was never his girlfriend. Somehow Dion Mial is such a good guy for not continuing to seek a share of an estate he has no rights or grounds with which to do so anymore.

Before Anna Gray showed up, Dion Mial was doing his best to make sure he got full control of the estate with the blessings of Gary’s Diff’rent Strokes co-star, Todd Bridges, when neither of them had even spoken to Gary for years! Gary’s mother said, in her Today Show interview that as far as she knew, Gary and Todd had not been in contact for years, but she allowed that they may have spoken without her knowledge (presumably since neither she nor her husband had spoken to Gary themselves for years).

Nobody is asking these folks when they last actually spoke to Gary Coleman or had any dealings with him. No, the main focus of every interview is to cast Shannon Price in as bad a light as possible and profess selfless intentions about carrying out Gary’s wishes. This way, they all look like saints in comparison to that “uncaring sick b*tch,” “ghoul” and even “murderer,” Shannon Price.

Randy Kester, who is often referred to as “Gary’s attorney” because he represented him a couple of years ago and also handled the John and Jane Doe divorce, is now representing Anna Gray.

Friend, Not Lover

“Contrary to what’s been reported, they [Anna Gray and Gary Coleman] were not lovers, they were good friends and business associates,” Kester said, adding: “My understanding is that Anna saw what was happening between Gary and Shannon, didn’t like what she saw, didn’t want to be a part of it and withdrew from the relationship so it wouldn’t be difficult for Gary because Shannon was making life difficult for both of them.” He also said the fact that Coleman listed Anna Gray as executor of the 2005 will, shows “that Gary still cared and trusted her.”

Well, not exactly. The Will was made in 2005 not too long after Gary formed this so called “business association” with Gray. It does show that Gary didn’t want Dion Mial to be his executor anymore and Anna Gray was handling his business affairs at the time. It shows he would rather have her administering his estate or the two other successor executors named in the Will, but not Dion Mial.

Then Mr. Kester is either being misquoted or he really made this absurd comment:

“Since 2005 she’s never made any moves to try and take property, get any money from Gary, make any claim to royalties or contract rights. She’s made no effort to gain monetary benefit out of this,” commented the lawyer. “He knew this was someone he could trust.”

Well, what the hell kind of claims could she have made when he was alive and especially after he told her he was going to marry Shannon Price and wanted her to leave?

Anna Gray Viewing Before Cremation

On Monday afternoon, a hearing was held and Fourth District Judge James Taylor issued a ruling that Coleman’s remains can be cremated on Wednesday evening. The delay was made to allow Anna gray a final viewing of Coleman’s body. Shannon Price’s attorney objected on her behalf to that request, and Randy Kester wasted no time in characterizing that negatively:

“The proceedings in this case never cease to amaze me. It didn’t make any sense to me,” Kester said. “Certainly, I know my client would have afforded them that opportunity without objection, so I was a little surprised …” Randy Kester is now representing Anna Gray, even though he didn’t seem to know jackshit abut this Will until Anna Gray showed up.

Fikkle Fame thinks that most of us would object to a non-relative who was not in the decedent’s life for years wanting a final viewing, especially if that non-relative was being called a “former girlfriend” when she never was.

New Special Administrator

In the meantime, we will try to stick to the remaining facts. The judge also appointed a Provo attorney named Robert Jeffs as special administrator to protect the contents of the Coleman house and, presumably, inventory its contents.

Price has a handwritten codicil from 2007 that she claims was notarized and she was trying to find the originals when she was prevented from doing so by Dion Mial when he thought he was going to be running the show. Price’s rep Shieila Erickson has also claimed that Shannon Price’s name is on the Deed to the property where she and Gary resided, which would make it her house too.

The proceedings to determine whether the 2007 handwritten codicil naming Shannon Price executor and sole beneficiary will override the 2005 Will is expected to take months.
