AHS: Cast of “Checking In”

So wow. We are surely in for a bloody time in “Hotel,” Season 5 of “American Horror Story.” The first episode was called “Checking In.” Lady Gaga was the star attraction as the Countess, as we are sure you know. She certainly was everything she is supposed to be and more. You can read all about that all over the net. All of the stars are well-covered in various recaps of the episode. We will even point you to a good recap. Over here, we are just indulging our little hobby of looking at the other cast members.

The two Swedish girls, Agnetha and Vendela, were played by Helena Mattsson and Kamilla Alnes. Kathy Bates as the check-in clerk, Iris, called them Swedish meatballs. LOL.

Helena really is Swedish. Kamilla is Norwegian as you will see in the video clip below. What she doesn’t want to get in trouble for telling is that Lady Gaga sliced her throat with those daggers masquerading as fingernails!

Shree Crooks played Scarlett Lowe, the daughter of Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley). Little Shree gets around. She had a recurring role in the last season of Ray Donovan, as wannabe child star, Audrey. We assume her daddy is a good guy (after all, he refuses phone calls to read “Little Women” to her on the phone). But he is obviously subject to forces beyond his control.

No electronics at the dinner table.

In this scene, Scarlett is talking about her little brother, Holden, who disappeared from a carnival on John Lowe’s watch five years ago and has never been found. She dreams about Holden but can’t remember what he looked like when she wakes up.

And guess where little Holden (Lennon Henry) is? Yes, he is at the Hotel Cortez and doesn’t look like he’s aged a day. There’s a couple of twins who run around the halls and feed on guests. There was another little girl in there, white as a sheet, just so you know she’s low on plasma.
