Speculation is absolutely running rampant over whether more major characters will be killed off in the Season Two Finale, and if so, whom? No one seems to be paying much attention to this HBO publicity teaser: “After weighing an offer from Esther Randolph, Margaret makes a decision that will change the course of her future – and Nucky’s.” HBO also released a preview of Margaret defending her choices at the meeting with Randolph:

Well, Esther Randolph may not know it, but we certainly recall when Margaret left Nucky after that big fight in Season One over Hans’ death and the Lysol. He didn’t send for her. She went back to him after seeing his wife and son’s gravestones in the cemetery and after getting the rag from the Barm Brack cake she made, (foretelling destitution).

Can that fortune be one of the chickens coming home to roost?

And how can she be a credible witness against Nucky? Her only knowledge of what happened to Hans is hearsay from Nelson Van Alden, who is on the lam after shooting Clifford Lathrop. There have been ample clues that there is no direct proof from Van Alden’s corner anyway. Eli is the real threat.
