2014 Oscar Winners

Best Picture honors went to “12 Years a Slave” at the 86th Annual Academy Awards on March 2, 2014. Lupita Nyong’o won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Patsey in the film, and John Ridley won for Best Adapted Screenplay (based upon the memoir by Solomon Northup).

“Gravity” picked up more Oscars than any other film. Here is a list of the awards by film:

  • Best Costume Design – Catherine Martin
  • Best Production Design – Catherine Martin, Beverley Dunn
